Giant Ant Eater

Giant Anteater

Set off into the rainforest and walked up the trails, got to the bat log. We noticed a peccary like shape in the forest, foraging off trail. I got the point and shoot and slowly made my way to the animal and discovered that it was a beautiful Giant Anteater. I got closer and closer and realized that it had a baby that was following the mother. I got 3 meters away from the mother and the baby climbed onto her back. I got some great videos using the camera. I got a stunning view of the baby on the mother’s back with the beautiful forest in the background.

After 10 minutes of observation, she slowly scuttled off into the forest without attacking myself or my intern (describe in more detail).
